Trading Card Live Breaker — Job Description

A Trading Card Live Breaker hosts live-streamed trading card breaks on platforms such as Whatnot, TikTok Live, Fanatics Live, Twitch, YouTube, and eBay Live. The role combines live entertainment, sales, customer engagement, and product knowledge to create an exciting experience for collectors and buyers. Common responsibilities include opening card packs live on stream, interacting with viewers, explaining card values and rarity, managing sales, and maintaining a fun, high-energy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Host live trading card breaks for sports cards and/or TCG products
• Engage with viewers in real time through chat and live interaction
• Open, sort, sleeve, and organize cards carefully during streams
• Explain card values, rarity, player significance, and market trends
• Build excitement and maintain stream energy throughout broadcasts
• Promote products and help drive sales during livestreams
• Maintain professionalism, transparency, and fairness during breaks
• Package and prepare customer orders for shipping
• Assist with inventory management and stream setup
• Collaborate with team members on promotions, scheduling, and stream strategy

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of sports cards or trading card games (Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, etc.)
• Comfortable speaking on camera to large live audiences
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Energetic personality with the ability to entertain viewers
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced livestream environment
• Detail-oriented when handling valuable collectibles
• Familiarity with livestream platforms such as Whatnot, TikTok Live, or Fanatics Live is preferred
• Prior sales, streaming, or public speaking experience is a plus
