The highly anticipated Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration expansion has finally been unveiled. The special anniversary set will launch worldwide on September 16, 2026, with additional 30th Celebration products scheduled for release throughout the year.The set is expected to feature approximately 150 cards, including Secret Rare cards, making it one of the most exciting Pokémon TCG releases of the year.30 Classic Pokémon Cards Return for the 30th AnniversaryFollowing in the footsteps of the popular Celebrations set from 2021, 30th Celebration will include 30 iconic Pokémon cards from throughout the history of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.Each reprinted card will feature:
- A special 30th Anniversary Pikachu stamp
- Exclusive commemorative foil treatment
- Unique anniversary styling
As with previous anniversary reprints, these cards will not be legal for tournament play.Every Card in the Set Will Be HoloAs previously revealed, every card in the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration set will be printed as a foil card.Each booster pack will contain:
- Five foil Pokémon TCG cards
- One foil Basic Energy card
- One Pokémon TCG Live code card (English products only)
This means every booster pack will include six foil cards total, making the set a premium collector-focused release.Every Booster Pack Includes a Pikachu CardOne of the most unique features of 30th Celebration is that every booster pack will contain a Pikachu card.There will be 30 different Pikachu cards available in the set, with each illustration created by a different artist. These Pikachu cards will feature special numbering that identifies their place within the 30-card collection, encouraging collectors to complete the full anniversary lineup.New "Futuristic Rare" Card Rarity DebutsThe set will introduce an entirely new Pokémon TCG rarity: Futuristic Rare.These cards will showcase vibrant, eye-catching artwork from acclaimed Japanese artist YOSHIROTTEN. According to Pokémon, each Futuristic Rare card will depict Pokémon through imaginative artwork that represents "hope toward an unknown future."The new rarity is expected to become one of the most sought-after elements of the 30th Celebration expansion.Daytime, Nighttime, and Legendary Pokémon ThemesNew cards in 30th Celebration will feature a wide variety of Pokémon shown during different moments of the day and night, creating a cohesive visual theme across the set.Like the 2021 Celebrations release, the expansion will also include every Legendary Pokémon, giving collectors the opportunity to obtain anniversary-themed versions of fan-favorite legendary creatures from across the franchise.Newly Revealed Japanese CardsAdditional Japanese versions of the cards have now been revealed. As is often the case with Pokémon TCG releases, the Japanese set will be organized differently from its English counterpart.Some cards included in the Japanese release may later appear as promotional cards in English products, resulting in different card numbering and distribution methods between regions.The Road to Pokémon TCG 30th CelebrationNews of the anniversary set first surfaced when we discovered the "Celebration Collection" trademark in November 2025.The Pokémon Company officially teased the set during Pokémon Day 2026 with a reveal trailer released in February. Additional details emerged in April and May 2026, including confirmation that:
- Every card in the set would be holo
- Every booster pack would include a Pikachu card
- The expansion would celebrate 30 years of Pokémon TCG history
